지난 3월부터 힐튼 다이아몬드 회원에게는 무료 스윗 업글도 제공해 주고 있지만,
그 전까지는 힐튼의 골드와 다이아의 큰 차이점이 없다는 의견이 많았습니다.
하지만.. 힐튼 ‘본사’에서 생각하는 다이아와 골드의 차이는 나름 크네요.
일반 손님부터, 블루, 실버 그리고 골드 회원까지는 힐튼 본사에서 정해 놓은 보상 규정이 없는 반면,
다이아몬드 회원의 경우 힐튼 본사에서 내부적으로 보상 규정이 자세하게 정해져 있네요.
a. Paid Stay:
i. If a Diamond VIP member is dissatisfied, the member must be immediately satisfied
and compensated. Compensation is defined as either a refund “up to” a night’s room
fee and tax or other appropriate service recovery based on the nature of the
complaint.
ii. The member must also receive full Points & Miles credit for any refunded amount of
room and tax and the hotel will pay for the Points & Miles. This may be done by
completing the electronic submission form on the Focus HHonors web site.
iii. The hotel’s General Manager or General Manager’s representative must contact the
member by telephone to personally apologize for the service failure.
iv. The hotel must retain and make available a 30-day rolling record of these
transactions.
b. Reward Stay/Redemption:
i. If a Diamond VIP member is dissatisfied, he or she must receive an immediate (same
day) refund of the points redeemed from the reward. The hotel must pay for these
points. The hotel will not receive reimbursement credit for the reward, as the points
were re-credited to the member’s account. Hotel must complete the “Re-credit of
Points for Reward Stay” form, which can be found on Focus HHonors.
ii. The hotel’s General Manager or General Manager’s representative must contact the
member by phone to apologize for the service failure within 48 hours of notice of
dissatisfaction.
iii. The hotel must retain and make available a 30-day rolling record of these
transactions.
iv. In order to support customer satisfaction and loyalty, the Hilton Worldwide Guest
Assistance Department has the discretion to grant Diamond VIP members up to two
complimentary future nights. The cost of these room nights will be charged back to
the hotel.
가장 눈에 띄는 점은,
고객이 투숙 중 마음에 안 들면(dissatisfied) 바로 시정 하거나,
아님 유효 숙박이던 무료(reward) 숙박이던 관계 없이 환불 또는 보상 해줘야 하며..
보상 여부와 관계 없이 유효 숙박인 경우 포인트 및 QS/QN을 그대로 제공 해줘야 하네요.
힐튼에서 내부적으로 정한 Brand Standards 규정에는 다이아몬드 회원의 대우가 확실하게 다르네요.
(물론 실상을… 좀 차이가 있지만.. ;;)
